I reused the yeast once more in a cheaty cider and it has come up rather cloudy. I suspect this is the bottle that was half and half apple juice from the press and a carton. I have no idea if it will work, but I whacked in some pectolase to see what will happen. Not much in the fridge I guess, so I have taken it out for another couple of days.
This really is ridiculously easy with the brewing caps, but you need to let it clarify in the fridge for a good while – a week?
After a failed attempt to recover my old 8B nexus 7 with a new £50 LCD and digitizer, I bought a beaten up 32GB nexus 7 for £55. I’ve put them together to get a working 32GB nexus 7 which at £110 is about what you can get one for on ebay :/. But at least I didn’t waste the £50 on the digitizer!
I want to make this my main device so had to restore a backup to it. I found that the TWRP recovery would not see the backup. It turns out that in the TWRP folder there is another sub folder and the name of that is unique to the device. I made a quick backup of the new device to find out what the id should be, renamed the folder and off it went.
I used http://geckoblue.livejournal.com/284897.html to get my OUYA controller working with AC2. I then thought it might be interesting to try with the original game.
I dug around and found the key mappings at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassins Creed\DefaultBindings.map
Then added the exact same code as for AC2. The game played like I was drunk, spinning and impossible to control. I eventually managed to get in to the options and hit the “Defaults” button for the OUYA which appeared to load my mappings and the game worked fine after that. Hitting defaults was somewhat of a struggle without the ability to move down.
I bought a brew belt today. It was 16°C in the warmest room in the house(!). A few hours later and my quince wine was up to temperature and bubbling nicely (and making a lovely fizz when you held your ear to the tub). I had to find a timer switch to switch it on and off because after a few hours it was creeping up over 26°C. You can also push the belt up and down, but a timer (that I had lying around) looked a better option until I can get the arduino going.
