|What||What it is|
|Clarifying||Putting the brew in a cold place after the first fermentation so that the brew can clear. It is also known as second fermentation.|
|Hydrometer||A little floaty thing that you sterilize, pop in to your brew and read the specific gravity of the beer from a scale.|
|Specific Gravity (SG)||This guides you as to the amount of sugar in the brew by measuring how dense the mixture is. If you know the opening specific gravity (OG) you can work out how much sugar has been converted to alcohol and how alcoholic the final drink is.|
