Here are the tools I have picked up along the way.

Hydrometer: to measure the start and end specific gravity of the concoction so that you can calculate how much alcohol there is.
Fermenting bucket: for the early vigorous ferment
Sterilising solution (sodium metabisulfite)
Cleaning and sterilising solution
Demijohns: big glass jars
Bubblers: air locks that keep the bad stuff out but lets the brew vent carbon dioxide
Bungs: for sealing
Pipette: for getting the mixture out of the demijohn
Plastic tube: for syphoning out liquid - the bigger the vessel, the wider the tube you need.
