\"\"<\/a><\/td>Hydrometer<\/a>: to measure the start and end specific gravity of the concoction so that you can calculate how much alcohol there is.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Fermenting bucket: for the early vigorous ferment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Sterilising solution (sodium metabisulfite)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Cleaning and sterilising solution<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Demijohns: big glass jars<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Bubblers: air locks that keep the bad stuff out but lets the brew vent carbon dioxide<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Bungs: for sealing<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Pipette: for getting the mixture out of the demijohn<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>Plastic tube: for syphoning out liquid - the bigger the vessel, the wider the tube you need.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
